BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A distinguished actor was chosen as the 2024 Magic City Classic ambassador.
According to a Monday news release, actor and philanthropist Omari Hardwick will celebrate HBCU pride, community and tradition at the Magic City Classic on Oct. 26. The "Power" and "Army of the Dead" performer will start the McDonald's Magic City Classic Parade on a McDonald's Float.
Hardwick participates in charitable initiatives, helping youth programs and aspiring artists. He joined in on the Rickwood Field celebration in June and supports the preservation of America's oldest professional baseball park.
The Magic City Classic, which features Alabama State and Alabama A&M, will be played at Legion Field. Tickets for the football game can be purchased here.
