PRICEVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A work release inmate was hit by a passing vehicle while working Thursday morning in Priceville.
According to the Priceville Police Department (PPD), the incident took place near the edge of Highway 67 near the O'Reilly Auto Parts in Priceville around 7:20 a.m.
Police said that the victim was airlifted to a medical facility with severe injuries.
The driver of the vehicle was not injured.
The department did not mention if the driver of the vehicle will face any charges.
