BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Daniel Payne Legacy Village Foundation, the American Diabetes Association and Genentech are teaming up to combat diabetic eye disease in underserved communities.
Daniel Payne Community Plaza will provide access to health screenings and offer referrals to specialty care. The announcement of the partnership is set for Saturday, Sept. 7 at 9 a.m. in the Daniel Payne Community Plaza. There will also be a panel discussion featuring representatives from ADA, Genentech, UAB, and Daniel Payne Legacy Village Foundation to discuss additional resources and its impact.
The event is open to the public and residents are encouraged to attend.
