Wednesday: A cold front associated with the low from Beryl will move across Alabama by Wednesday morning. In the wake of the front, it will be mostly sunny. It will become less humid and not as hot with high temperatures in the upper 80s.

The stretch of more pleasant weather continues overnight tonight with morning lows Thursday dropping into the upper 60s.

Thursday & Friday: High pressure will build across the Eastern U.S. behind the cold front on Thursday and Friday. This will bring Alabama plenty of sunshine with less humid northerly winds. It will be hotter, but not as sticky with high temperatures in the lower to middle 90s. The heat index will be the same as the air temperature.

Weekend Outlook: The area of high pressure will move over the northern Gulf of Mexico this weekend. An upper-level area of high pressure will sit south of Alabama, but be close enough to bring us hot weather. Saturday and Sunday will be partly cloudy, hot, and more humid with a few pop-up storms each day. High temperatures will be in the upper 90s and the heat index around 100-105°.

Next Week: Sweltering heat and humidity return with highs in the upper 90s and a heat index well into the triple digits. Some widely scattered pop up summer storms are likely early next week.
