Sunday: Very pleasant weather (for August) continues as we wrap up the weekend. Morning temperatures are running in the lower to middle 60s, and combined with the lower humidity it feels fantastic. Humidity levels remain comfortable through the afternoon. Highs reach the 88 to 92 degree range along with plenty of sunshine and a fresh north breeze.
Next Week: Summer steam returns for the upcoming work week. By Wednesday, highs return to the low and middle 90s; due to the humidity, afternoon heat index values will run between 100 and 105. With an increase in moisture levels, isolated to scattered showers and storms develop each day beginning Wednesday, mainly between noon and sunset.
Tracking the Tropics: A wave in The Atlantic is expected to become a tropical depression this week, then potentially Tropical Storm Ernesto as conditions favor further development. As of now, we expect the system to track west passing over The Lesser Antilles and Eastern Caribbean, followed by a turn to the north well before reaching U.S. East Coast or The Gulf of Mexico.
