BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) – This Sunday, July 7 is also being called 7 Brew Day. This is the first event of its kind being hosted by 7 Brew Coffee at locations here in our area and across the country to celebrate a new partnership with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Peter Steiger, Director of Operations, joined the CBS 42 Morning News on Sunday to talk about the event. He said the partnership was developed because both align with the same idea of cultivating kindness.

“It’s what we try to do every day in our day-to-day operations and also what we try to do in our communities,” Steiger said. “We wanted to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals because that’s what they do in their local communities, and they inspire a lot of families and really make an effort. Those are our beliefs, and we want to align with that, so we ended up making an official partnership with them.”

The coffee chain donated $25,000 to announce that official partnership. To celebrate it, you can buy one coffee and get one free from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday at the locations in Moody, Trussville, Alabaster and Tuscaloosa.

“Together, we are hoping we can come together and bring some betterness back into our communities and make the world a little better,” Steiger said. “We help people with coffee, and they help change lives of children in the hospitals.”

7 Brew teams country-wide dropped off drinks at local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to thank them for the work they do.
