Thursday: A weak cold front will move into Alabama and fall apart. It will have enough energy to set off a few stray showers with a partly cloudy sky. We stay hot with highs in the middle 90s, and the heat index 100-105°.
Friday: Friday will remain hot and humid, and an upper-level wave will move over the state from the north. This could set off a few showers again. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 90s, and the heat index around 100°.
Weekend Outlook: A stronger dry cold front will move across Alabama on Saturday, and this will bring us some much more comfortable humidity levels.
We will be mostly sunny and less humid. High temperatures will be in the lower 90s. Sunday morning will be cooler with lows in the 60s. The afternoon will be hot with low humidity and highs in the lower 90s.
Tracking the Tropics: Debby is now moving inland. This will spread more flooding rain across SC/NC. Debby will pick up speed and track north up the I-95 corridor through the weekend with plenty of heavy rain causing flooding issues.
