SHELBY COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A 70-year-old Oneonta man died following a two-vehicle crash on I-65 in Shelby County Tuesday afternoon, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.
Lowell Sibley was critically injured when the Nissan Frontier he was driving has hit by a Chevrolet Blazer at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday. The Frontier overturned at least two times after the collision. Sibley was reportedly not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Sibley was taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Troopers with the ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
