MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Morgan County Sheriff's Office said six search warrants involving illegal drugs and other items led to the arrest of several people.
On July 31 and early into August 1, agents with the MCSO executed six search warrants across Morgan County: one in Lacey's Spring, two in Union Hill and three in Decatur.
Agents with the Morgan County Sheriff's Drug Enforcement Unit said the investigations stemmed from incidents involving illegal drugs.
During the search warrants, agents said they found large quantities of:
- methamphetamine
- cocaine
- crack cocaine
- fentanyl
- numerous drug paraphernalia
- firearms
- controlled substance medication
MCSO Agents charged and arrested the following people:
Darren Keith Davis, 60 years old from Lacey's Spring: Trafficking fentanyl, unlawful possession of a controlled substance-cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and numerous felony probation violations. He was previously arrested on July 26 when a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs. His bond is set at $255,300.
Kathryn Sharafi, 48 years old from Union Hill: Unlawful possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1,600.
Theodore Giers, 52 years old from Union Hill: Unlawful possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held without bond.
Mark Anthony Buckmeir, 48 years old from Lacey's Spring: Unlawful possession of a controlled substance-methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $1,300.
Michael Buckmeir, 46 from Lacey's Spring: Possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $300.
Danielle Dannette Huff, 38 from Somerville: Loitering in a drug house. Her bond was set at $300.
Lori Allison Owens, 39: Failure to appear in court warrant. She is being held with no bond.
Brittany Michelle Parker, 37: Felony probation violation warrants. She is being held with no bond.
The sheriff's office said additional people are expected to be charged and arrested.
All eight people were brought to the Morgan County Jail.
