BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The United States Postal Service is aiming to add team members to help deliver mail across rural areas of Alabama and Mississippi.
The service is hosting 37 career fairs throughout both states on August 1 at 10 am - 2 pm in an effort to fill open positions. Local postmasters and team members will be onsite at all career fairs to answer questions and help with the application process.
According to a news release, the positions of rural carrier associate and assistant rural carrier are available in 118 cities. Both positions start at $20.38 per hour.
