CALHOUN COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) - The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office was called to the 400 block of Church Street in Hobson City at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday due to reports of a male lying in the road.
According to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office, a deputy arrived on the scene and discovered a male victim with a stab wound in his chest. The deputy performed first aid until Oxford EMS arrived. The victim was taken to UAB Hospital, where he is still being treated for life threatening injuries.
A witness identified Oshae Dontrell Ball as the suspect. Oxford Police detained Ball, and during the course of the investigation, it was determined that he stabbed the victim. Ball was arrested for Assault 1st Degree. He is being held at the Calhoun County Jail with a cash bond set at $20,000.
