

Thursday: We're starting out Thursday morning with a few light showers as a warm front lifts north. The rain should end by around 9 am at the latest. It will be warmer with highs in the upper 60s. Rain returns Thursday night as a cold front moves into Alabama. Some of the rain could be heavy with a few rumbles of thunder and gusty winds. Lows will not be as cold falling to the lower to middle 50s.


Friday: The cold front will move across Alabama on Friday morning with heavy rain, gusty winds, and a few thunderstorms. Rain tapers off in the afternoon, with just a small chance for an afternoon shower. It will not be much colder with highs in the middle 60s.

Groundhog Day Weekend Outlook: High pressure will build across the Southeast U.S. all weekend. Saturday will be sunny with highs in the middle 60s. Groundhog Day, Sunday will remain sunny with warmer high temperatures around 70°. Lows will be in the 40s each night. Hopefully, Phil does not see his shadow!

Next Week's Outlook: It will feel spring-like next week with dry weather on Monday and Tuesday. Highs will be in the 70s. A few showers return on Wednesday with more rain from a cold front on Thursday. Highs will be in the 60s. Friday will become dry with cooler highs in the lower 60s.
