WALKER COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Jasper teenager died Sunday after they were involved in a car crash Saturday, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
An 18-year-old was critically injured around 9:50 p.m. Saturday when the Nissan Sentra they were driving hit a pothole, left the roadway and struck a concrete bridge rail. The crash happened on Whitehouse Road near Industrial Parkway, which is about a mile south of Jasper.
The teenager reportedly was not wearing a seat belt when the crash happened. They were taken to a local hospital, where they died from their injuries Sunday.
Troopers with the ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
