CALERA, Ala. (WIAT) -- Two people were shot and two arrested following a shooting in Calera Monday afternoon.
According to the Calera Police Department, a call was received around 3:09 p.m. about a shooting in the Meriweather subdivision. All available Calera police officers responded to the scene and discovered two people who had been shot.
Both victims were taken to UAB Hospital, one who was airlifted and the other taken in an ambulance.
Officers received a description for two suspects, who were arrested within around 20 minutes after the shooting.
Calera police are conducting an investigation into the shooting.
