Thursday: Cold, winter-like weather in the wake of a cold front that pushed across the state Wednesday. Despite plenty of sunshine, highs hold in the middle 50s, and with an icy north wind it will feel even colder.

Tonight: Lows will plummet to the lower 30s, with the potential for patchy areas of frost. The wind will push our feel-like temperatures down into the 20s by sunrise.

Friday: The dry, chilly weather continues with highs in the middle 50s under a clear sky and brisk northwest breeze.

Weekend: Saturday will be the coldest morning of this season. Most spots north of I-20 will fall to near freezing, and all of us will likely have frost by sunrise. Take care of any sensitive vegetation over the next couple of mornings!

A gradual warming trend begins Saturday as highs return to the upper 50s, followed by middle 60s on Sunday. We remain dry both days under a mostly clear sky.

Next Week: Another front arrives early in the week serving as a focal point for a few showers Monday evening. Longer term, forecast models are hinting at the potential for a round of rain or even strong storms around Thanksgiving. Still too early to get specific, so check back for updates.
