MARSHALL COUNTY, Ala. (TRUSSVILLE TRIBUNE) -- A single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning left an Albertville teen dead and three others injured.
Chris Basinger, with our media partner The Trussville Tribune, reports four teenagers were traveling in a 2015 Nissan Altima along Blessing Road when it left the roadway, struck a tree stump, a sign post, and then a fence.
The passengers–a 13-year-old, 15-year-old, and 17-year-old–were reportedly not using seat belts at the time of the crash.
The 13-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene while the other two passengers were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Nissan, an 18-year-old, was also injured and taken to a local hospital.
The crash occurred at 7:45 a.m. approximately two miles north of Boaz.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division will continue to investigate.
