BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- After more than four years of being without a permanent building, Birmingham's Terrific New Theatre is hosting its grand reopening on Nov. 21.
In July of 2020, TNT announced that it would be vacating its building at Pepper Place due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was announced in May of 2023 that they had purchased a building at 2112 5th Avenue North. After over a year of renovating and preparing to reopen, the theatre is opening Thursday night with its production of "Sunday in the Park with George."
"Sunday in the Park with George" can be seen at TNT every Thursday-Sunday until Dec. 8, with no performances on Thanksgiving. It will be directed by Dave Strickland with music direction by Michael King.

TNT has been operating in Birmingham since 1986 with the goal of promoting the presence of community theatre and showcasing local talent.
