BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- UAB is hosting its "Blazers Against Hunger" in November to provide healthy food to patients, students, and employees.
Blazer Kitchen helps provide food, resources, and referrals to patients, employees and students in need. Blazer Kitchen is an on-campus food bank that has served more than 872,000 meals since opening in 2017. Donations are accepted and they are able to access food for around 18 cents per pound through the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama.
