Tonight: Clouds will increase overnight across our eastern counties while the rest of us see a partly cloudy sky. Temperatures will be warm waking up on Sunday morning in the lower to middle 60s.

Sunday: Temperatures will be in the upper 70s to lower 80s with a partly to mostly cloudy sky with breezy conditions developing during the afternoon and evening hours.

Election Day: Expect a mostly cloudy sky with a shower or two possible, but most of us will remain dry as temperatures start out the day in the lower 60s before rising into the upper 70s to low 80s Tuesday afternoon.

Next Week: As a ridge of high pressure centers just off the Southeast US coast with an approaching trough of low pressure in the Central/Northern US, a channel of moisture will be funneled into the Deep South by the middle of this week, lasting into the upcoming weekend. Some of this moisture will be fed by a tropical system that attempts to develop in the NW Caribbean by the middle to end of this week. Low confidence on exactly where this will track, but current model forecasts do take it into the Gulf of Mexico late this week, then being ripped apart from wind shear. Therefore, the threat to US soil is low right now, but we will keep a close eye on the tropics.

Nonetheless, this system will have ample moisture associated with it, located in a prime spot to pump it our way and provide some light, spotty showers on Wednesday and Thursday.

Otherwise, most of our week is mostly cloudy and dry with unseasonably warm temperatures continuing. Highs and lows will remain 7-12° above average, making it feel more like Spring than Fall. A noticeable increase in humidity will be around, but not sweltering. A shower can’t be ruled out Friday and Saturday with lingering moisture.
