BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Birmingham man was sentenced to 10 years in prison on gun and drug charges, according to U.S. Attorney Prim F. Escalona.
Damion Wade, 24, was sentenced to 120 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. Birmingham police stopped a vehicle for having a tinted windshield that Wade was driving, according to the plea agreement. Officers saw drugs, drug paraphernalia and firearms in plain view.
Officers searched the vehicle and recovered two digital scales, methamphetamine, fentanyl, guns and ammunition.
