The weather pattern remains dry across Central Alabama as high pressure sits over the Eastern U.S. tonight and tomorrow. It will be clear and cool tonight with lows ranging from the upper 40s to middle 50s.

With a weak cold front, an upper-level wave will move across Alabama on Thursday. They will bring us some high clouds. It will be unseasonably warm and dry with possible record-high temperatures in the middle 80s. The record high for Birmingham on Thursday is 86° set back in 1927.


High clouds will linger across Alabama on Friday as the wave moves east of Alabama, and the front lifts to the north as a warm front. We will be mostly sunny with unseasonably near-record highs in the middle 80s. The record is 88° set back in 1927.


Weekend Outlook: A strong cold front will move across Alabama this weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and warm with highs in the middle 80s. The cold front will stall across South Alabama on Sunday. It will be partly cloudy and warm with high temperatures in the upper 70s. A stray shower is possible late Sunday into Monday, but do not expect much accumulation, if any.

Football Forecast: This will be great weather for all the local college football games, including the Magic City Classic on Saturday at 2:30 PM, and Alabama at 2:30 vs. Missouri.
