ALABASTER, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Lotus Catfe will host a "Meowloween" Party on Saturday. The event will last from 8- 11 p.m., and it is adults-only.
The event will include snacks and refreshments, music and dancing, tarot readings for $1 a minute, DIY spell jars and witch's balls for $5 each and a costume contest.
Buying an entry ticket will automatically enter guests into a drawing for a giveaway basket. Every additional $10 spent will result in more entries. Tickets to the event are $10.
All proceeds from the event will go towards the cafe's cats. The cats will not be present at the event due to potentially being frightened by costumes.
For younger guests, Lotus Catfe will host a Halloween Story and Craft event earlier in the day on Saturday. The event will start at 2 p.m. with a story time with the cats. Afterwards, guests can choose between a mask or a door hanger craft. Entry for anyone doing a craft is $15. Entry is $10 for anyone attending just for the story.
