IRONDALE, Ala. (WIAT) — Irondale Mayor James D. Stewart, Jr. plans to host an “I Love Irondale” weekend from July 19-20. The featured events will be free and open to the public.
On July 19, community members are invited to attend the Summer Screen Scene Series featuring “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem.” The screening will take place at Beacon Park. The event will feature lawn games and free train rides starting at 7 p.m., and the movie itself will begin at dusk.
On July 20, community members are encouraged to visit the Irondale Farmers and Makers Market, which takes place every Saturday from 8-10 a.m. during the months of May-July. The Irondale Farmers and Makers Market is held at Irondale City Hall.
The weekend will culminate with the fourth annual “I Love Irondale” Day Festival at Irondale City Hall. The event will last from 3- 6 p.m., and it will feature food trucks, a Ferris wheel, train rides, live music, a waterslide and more. Food trucks will be free to the first 500 guests.
