BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- The Birmingham Police Department announced Tuesday a shooting that left a man dead is now being investigated as a justified death.
Malike Williams, 26, was shot in the 2700 block of Pearson Avenue Southwest around 5 p.m. on Sept. 24. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators presented case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, which determined the actions were justifiable.
