TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) -- A woman is charged with attempted murder after a stabbing in Tuscaloosa occurred early Sunday morning.
According to Cpt. Jack Kennedy of the Tuscaloosa Violent Crimes Unit, Tuscaloosa police were dispatched to the Running Brook Apartments around 1:30 a.m. on report of a stabbing. At the scene, police found a woman who was stabbed several times. The victim was transported to the hospital, and Kennedy stated she is expected to survive.
Another woman at the scene, 26-year-old Dee Age Jer Tyteona Jemison, was taken into custody. The TVCU's investigation determined Jemison and the victim were in a fight stemming from an earlier argument at an area club. Jemison allegedly stabbed the victim.
Jemison is being held in jail on $30,000 bond.
