BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — Mary Pasko, the mother of famed former Alabama football coach Nick Saban, has died. She was 92.

Pasko, who grew up in Michigan and called Farmington, West Virginia home after marrying Nick Saban Sr. and raising two children there, lived at the Danberry at Inverness retirement community in Birmingham the final years of her life.

Pasko's death was first reported in an obituary in The Tuscaloosa News Thursday night.

Along with her late husband, Pasko ran the Saban Gulf Service Station and a nearby Dairy King restaurant. In the Tuscaloosa News obituary, it was reported that Pasko remarried to Bobby Pasko following the death of Saban Sr. in 1973. Pasko himself died in 2015 with Mary Pasko then moving to Birmingham to be closer to her family.

Outside of Saban, Pasko had a daughter, Dene, as well as six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also had two sisters.

As of Friday, no funeral arrangements have been announced.
