BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A child is in the hospital after being hit by a car in Bessemer Tuesday afternoon.
According to Battalion Chief Clay Hendon of the Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service, the incident was reported in the 100 block of Budapest Drive in Bessemer. The victim, whose name has not been released, was subsequently taken to Children's of Alabama for treatment. No information on their condition has been revealed.
The case is under investigation.
