BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Birmingham man was killed in a car crash Tuesday afternoon in Blount County.
57-year-old James J. Rogers driving on US 231 near Hwy 67, about four miles north of Brooksville, when his vehicle left the roadway, struck a ditch, and overturned. State troopers said Rogers was not using a seatbelt at the time of the crash and died at the scene.
The crash happened around 12:45 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding Rogers' is under investigation by state troopers.
