BESSEMER, Ala. (WIAT) -- U.S. Rep. Terri Sewell (AL-07) will hold her 13th annual job fair at the Bessemer Civic Center on Thursday.
According to a news release, the job fair is the Democratic congresswoman's largest constituent event of the year. It is free and open to the public.
“Since coming to Congress, bringing jobs and economic opportunities directly to the people of Alabama’s 7th Congressional District has been my top priority,” Sewell said in a statement. “That’s why I’m thrilled to be bringing our job fair back to Bessemer, Alabama. This event is about ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to reach their God-given potential, and that begins with the dignity of a good-paying job.”
Constituents are asked to register ahead of the event, but there will be on-site registration. Preregistration can be completed by clicking here. The job fair will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday.

- Hospitality and retail
- Health services
- Utilites and telecommunications
- Manufacturing and production
- Staffing agencies
- Government agencies
- Law enforcement
