CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala (WIAT) - A Centre man is dead following a single-vehicle crash in Cherokee County on Friday night, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.
Scott F. Wade, 51, was killed when the 1999 Honda TRX 400FS All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) he was operating left the roadway and struck an embarkment. Wade, who was not using a helmet at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred around 9:09 p.m. on Cherokee County 28, about nine miles east of Piedmont. Troopers with ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
