Tonight: Scattered rain showers will push in late this evening, becoming more widespread overnight as temperatures fall into the upper half of the 40s.
Sunday: A rather dreary day is on tap for the region as skies remain overcast with pockets of light rain and drizzle. Temperatures will be cooler in the upper 50s to near 60°.

Next Week: Very mild air will flood the southeast this week, temperatures warming from the mid-60s on Monday to the upper 70s by the end of next week. This will come with an increase in moisture, leading to a few rain chances before we get to next weekend.

The rain showers from Sunday will linger into Sunday night and Monday morning before skies open up to more sunshine for Monday afternoon, allowing for a beautiful day. Dry weather continues into Tuesday and Wednesday with lots of sunshine before a weak system passes through here Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing a few scattered light showers. Most areas will stay dry from the midweek system.

Warm air continues building in here for the second half of the week as highs near 80° by Friday and Saturday along with breezy conditions. A much larger storm system will start taking shape over the Plains during this time, which will spread storms and heavy rain our way by next weekend. Right now, it appears the bulk of the rain moves through Saturday night, but the timing is still uncertain. The severe weather potential looks to be much higher toward our west, but we will be watching those trends closely this week.
