VESTAVIA HILLS, Ala. (WIAT) -- Two people were detained after Vestavia Hills police found a woman with several cuts and lacerations Saturday night.
According to the Vestavia Hills Police Department, it received a call for service around 8:43 p.m. to the 700 block of Montgomery Highway. At the scene, police found the victim with cuts and lacerations on one of her arms and a leg.
Vestavia Hills Fire Department personnel treated the woman and took her to an area hospital. The VHPD's investigation showed the injuries were sustained at a different location.
VHPD officers arrived at the location of where they believed the cuts occurred and made contact with two potential suspects. Those two people were transported to the Vestavia Hills City Jail and are being held there pending further investigation as of Sunday morning.
