BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Hanceville man was sentenced to over seven years in prison for a drug crime.
Jason Shirley, 41, was sentenced to 87 months in prison. Shirley pled guilty to possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in 2024, according to U.S. Attorney Prim Escalona on Monday.
According to the plea agreement, a Cullman County Sheriff's Office deputy conducted a traffic stop on Shirley on October 4, 2023. Shirley was driving with an expired tag and didn't possess a valid driver's license.
