Early Morning: It will be another cloudy and muggy morning with patchy fog and a few showers. Lows will be in the middle 50s in the far north to mid 60s south of I-20.
Friday: The stationary front will sit over the AL/TN border on Friday. We will be mostly cloudy with spotty showers. High temperatures stay mild, with near-record highs in the middle 70s. The record is 79 (2019).

Weekend Outlook: The front will lift farther north as a warm front making it warmer and more humid on Saturday. It will be partly cloudy and warm with just a stray shower. Expect near-record highs in the upper 70s. The record is 83 (1918). A cold front will move into Alabama on Sunday with a few showers. Temperatures will not cool down much with highs in the upper 60s.

Next Week's Outlook: Zonal flow aloft will be the weather pattern for next week, keeping the above-average temperatures in place. This will keep our weather active with a series of cold and warm fronts tracking across Alabama and upper-level waves moving along the fronts. This pattern will bring heavy rain to Central Alabama and possibly stronger storms.

Rain totals could be around 3-4"+ for the week. The stronger storms could produce gusty winds. However, the heavy rain and storms will depend on where the fronts are placed each day. Check back for updates.
