JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Jefferson County Sheriff's Office announced the arrest of four individuals after seizing multiple drugs in Jefferson County.

On Jan. 15, officers conducted an operation in the Bessemer division and came into contact with a 37-year-old man and 34-year-old woman in the 1200 block of Cedar Street. The interaction led to the two suspects to be arrested.

Sharron Deet, 37, was charged with second-degree possession of marijuana and two counts of failure to appear-felony. He is in custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond. Destiney Jones, 34, was charged with drug trafficking. She was released from the Jefferson County Jail after posting bond.

Sheriffs then initiated a traffic stop on a Jeep Wrangler at 34th Street and Avenue G. According to officers, the driver failed to stop and led them on a "short pursuit" that ended at Court R and Avenue S. The driver fled on foot but was caught. The traffic stop resulted in the arrest of two more suspects.

Darius Davison, 39, was charged with three counts of drug trafficking, attempting to elude and possession of marijuana. Davison's bond totals over $1.5 million, and he's in custody of the Jefferson County Jail. The fourth suspect is an adult female. Detectives are seeking warrants for first-degree criminal mischief, attempting to elude and giving false information.
