BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A 29-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting at a gas station in Tuscaloosa Tuesday night.
Jermaine Lockett, 29, was arrested following at shooting reported 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night at a gas station on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where a 29-year-old victim was shot several times. The victim was later taken to DCH Regional Medical Center, where he currently remains in stable condition.
According to the Tuscaloosa Police Department, Lockett and the victim "had issues in the past" that may have contributed to the shooting.
Lockett has been charged with attempted murder, tampering with evidence and certain persons forbidden from possessing a firearm. He is being held at the Tuscaloosa County Jail with no bond set at this time.
