BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- Fred Armisen, a comedian and actor best known for his time on "Saturday Night Live" and the sendup of hipster sensibilities "Portlandia," will be coming to Birmingham this spring as part of a music-themed standup performance.
Armisen, known as one of the longest-tenured members of "SNL" with 11 years under his belt, will come to Iron City April 1 during his "Comedy for Musicians But Everyone is Welcome" tour.
Previously, Armisen released a Netflix comedy special, "Standup for Drummers," where the former punk rock musician performed a standup set in front of drummers, talking about the intricacies of the instrument in a funny way.
Armisen recently had a recurring role on the hit Netflix series "Wednesday."
