BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — A man died after crashing his motorcycle during a training session at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham Monday.
Abraham D. Schwartz, 41, was killed just before noon Monday while taking part in a two-day training school on the racetrack at Barber, according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office. Schwartz was originally from Dover, Massachusetts and had come to Birmingham to take part in the training exercise when he crashed his motorcycle.
The JCCO reports that that crash took place at approximately 11:04 a.m. and Schwartz being pronounced dead at approximately 11:39 a.m.
A second motorcyclist was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
The circumstances surrounding the crash were not released.
