BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A man who was found apparently stabbed on Tuesday night in Birmingham died.
According to officer Truman Fitzgerald with the Birmingham Police Department, officers were dispatched after 7 p.m. to the 2500 block of 15th Street Ensley. They went inside a home and discovered a man unresponsive who appeared to be stabbed. The victim was taken to UAB Hospital, where he died.
No one is in custody in connection to the case. Police are determining what led to the assault and did speak to people at the scene. Fitzgerald said the Jefferson County Medical Examiner's Office will confirm if the victim was stabbed.
