HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) -- Alabama played its final game of 2024 Tuesday in Tampa, facing off against Michigan in the ReliaQuest Bowl.

Frustration was the word of the day for Alabama fans, as the Crimson Tide fell, 19-13. They were upset with just about everything that happened in Tuesday's game.

The loss caps an already disappointing season for Alabama, and fans at the Walk-On's Sports Bistreaux in Stadium Trace were making it known.

“Everybody at this bar is asking literally the same question: What was that?” screamed one fan as Alabama quarterback Jaylen Milroe threw an incomplete pass to turn over the ball and end the game.

Shock, disappointment and anger are just some of the words to describe the feelings of Alabama fans after the team's loss to Michigan. Longtime Alabama fan Molly Watts said the 2024 season has been rough, but it's no reason to stop supporting her team.

“Not been good, but I don’t give up," Watts said. "I was there with Bear Bryant and Joe Namath, and I'll never give up."

Some fans blamed the early struggles of Alabama for the loss and questioned the coaching moving forward.

“You can't have three turnovers in the first half and expect to win,” Andy Allen said.

“I’m just wondering if the coordinators may need adjusting," Allen continued.

Younger Alabama fans agreed that a coaching change needs to be made. Madelyn Estes is looking to the past for an answer.

“I think Nick Saban needs to come back, and Alabama can finally be good again,” Estes said.

Fans said that this loss stings, but they are hopeful for the future and excited to see what Alabama does during the offseason.
