BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Birmingham man was arrested in connection with an October shooting that left three injured, including two children.
Birmingham police stated that a woman was driving her family along the 1400 block of 3rd Avenue West on October 15 when a vehicle pulled up alongside the car and fired into it. A 7-year-old boy, 9-year-old boy, and an adult man were injured in the shooting.
The 7-year-old suffered serious injuries in the shooting, while the other two victims suffered non-life threatening injuries.
On December 18, officers arrested 26-year-old Jar'Darrius Julius in connection with the shooting. He is charged with attempted murder, two counts of 1st degree assault, and discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling.
Julius is being held on $150,000 bail.
Police believe Julius was targeting the woman driving in the shooting.
