CULLMAN COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A 20-year-old woman who was sitting on I-65 was killed in a crash in Cullman County early Saturday morning, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports.
Madelyn Guerra, of Adelphi, Maryland, was fatally injured when a Toyota Highlander hit her around 2:30 a.m. about six miles south of Cullman. Guerra was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another person was struck by the Highlander. They were taken to UAB Hospital for treatment.
Troopers with the ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
