MOUNTAIN BROOK, Ala. (WIAT) -- A partial intersection closure will occur in Mountain Brook on Tuesday.
According to the Mountain Brook Police Department, a sanitary project will cause a partial closure at the intersection of Memory Lane and Montclair Road for about five days. Detours will be implemented.
Those traveling east on Montclair Road will be directed south onto Memory Lane. A lane on Montclair Road will be open for westbound traffic. Drivers going down Morningside Drive will be required to turn right onto Montclair Road. Those on Memory Lane will not be allowed to access Montclair Road.
The MBPD stated around 45,000 vehicles use Montclair Road each day. The law enforcement agency expects the closure to significantly affect traffic during morning and evening rush hours. Mountain Brook police recommend taking another route and factoring in more travel time.
