HOMEWOOD, Ala. (WIAT) -- Two people were arrested in Homewood after a reported vehicle pursuit Thursday.
According to Homewood police, officers attempted to stop a vehicle suspected to be occupied by a suspect with arrest warrants in the 200 block of Jemison Road. The vehicle reportedly refused to stop, causing police to deploy spike strips. Officers were able to arrest the driver and passenger and recovered multiple guns and narcotics.
Paul Hinkle, 36, of Birmingham, was charged with attempting to elude, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and second-degree receiving stole property. Rashawn Taylor, 24, of Tuscaloosa, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and second-degree receiving stolen property.
Both were transported to the Homewood City Jail.
