Thursday: The cold front will be east of Alabama on Thursday. It will become sunny and cooler with high temperatures in the upper 50s.


Friday: A reinforcing dry cold front will sweep across Alabama on Friday. The weather will be sunny and breezy, with highs in the lower 50s, but the winds will make it feel like the 40s.

Weekend Outlook: Friday's cold front will bring a blast of even colder air this weekend across the Southeast U.S. Saturday and Sunday will be gorgeous with plenty of sunshine as high pressure builds across the Deep South. Saturday morning will be clear and cold with lows in the 20s. High temperatures in the afternoon will be in the upper 40s but will feel like the 30s with the wind. Saturday night will be clear and cold with lows in the low to middle 20s. Sunday will stay chilly with highs in the upper 40s to lower 50s. The first day of Winter is on Saturday at 3:21 AM, so the cold air is right on schedule.

Christmas Outlook: Temperatures will start to warm up on Christmas Eve with a partly cloudy sky and late-day rain. Highs will be in the 50s. Rain returns Christmas Eve night into Christmas Day. It will be mild with highs in the lower 60s.
