BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) -- A man killed in a Birmingham house fire last week was identified Monday morning.
Marion Leroy Springer was one of two people found inside a burning home on the 5400 block of 5th Court South the evening of December 12. Springer, 74, was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment where he died on December 13 around 8:13 p.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.
The condition of the other person found inside the home is unknown.
The Birmingham Fire Marshal's Office is investigating the cause of the fire at this time.
