RAINBOW CITY, Ala. (WIAT) -- Rainbow City police are conducting an investigation following a shooting Wednesday.
Rainbow City Police Department responded to the scene of a domestic incident in the area of William Avenue around 11:45 a.m. Officers said the scene became a hostage situation shortly after their arrival. According to Rainbow City Police Department, the suspect shot at officers who then returned fire.
RCPD says the suspect was shot. No officers were harmed during the shooting.
