CHEROKEE COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A Cherokee County man died after a head-on crash Monday afternoon, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
Benjamin Davis, a 46-year-old from Gaylesville, was critically injured when the Hyundai Elantra he was operating hit head-on with a tractor-trailer. The crash happened around 12:50 p.m. on Alabama 35 near Cherokee County 782.
Davis was taken to Atrium Health Floyd Medical Center in Rome, Georgia, but died from his injuries. Troopers with the ALEA's Highway Patrol Division are investigating the crash.
