BIRMINGHAM, Ala (WIAT) — One of the most well-known and revered bands from New Orleans will come to Birmingham next week for a special Christmas program.
The Preservation Hall Jazz Band, who has been the house band of Preservation Hall in the city's French Quarter since the 1960s, will present "Creole Christmas" at the Alys Stephens Center at 7 p.m. Dec. 13.
The band, whose repertoire covers the gamut of traditional New Orleans jazz to Dixieland and more, will put a New Orleans sensibility on Christmas classics.
Food trucks and holiday music will be available in the lobby before the performance.
Tickets are $40, $50, $60 and $75.
