MOODY, Ala. (WIAT) - Only one more week away from the Alabama High School football State Championships, and the Moody Blue Devils are one more win away from making history.
In their dominating win over the Ramsay Rams last Friday, the Blue Devils were not only dynamic in the air but also in the backfield.
Junior Wide Receiver Josiah Dozier led Moody on offensive, finishing the evening with two touchdowns, including an incredible one-hand grab in the left corner of the endzone late in the second quarter.
“This is a super special group.” Dozier said. “We found our rhythm and found our stride, I expect us to play in the state championship.”
The Blue Devils will host cross town rival Leeds in the state semifinal. Winner heads to the Class 6A State title game. Kickoff Friday is slated for 7 p.m. at Bill Morris Stadium.
